🍎 Why Teachers Love This Series:

Fall is the perfect season to turn popular autumn symbols like pumpkins, vines, and sweet pies into powerful gospel anchors. Instead of letting Halloween or secular harvest festivals dominate your October calendar, this 4-week series equips your teachers to guide boys and girls toward Jesus as their Light, their True Vine, their Protector, and their Provider.

🎃 Week 1: The Great Pumpkin Makeover (Matthew 5:14, 16)

Kids watch an engaging object lesson of a messy pumpkin being cleaned out on the inside and filled with a candle to shine outward. They learn that Jesus takes away our sins and turns us into beacons of His love.

• Craft: My Shining Light Jar (Vector cutout with candle flames & Matthew 5:16 badge)
• Active Game: “Glow-in-the-Dark Tag” & “Scoop Out the Sin Beanbag Toss”
• Read the standalone guide: View Week 1 Lesson Post →

🌿 Week 2: Plugged into the Patch! (John 15:5)

Using pumpkin vines and power cords as visual aids, children understand that staying connected to Jesus through prayer, scripture, and church is what makes their spiritual life flourish and bear fruit.

• Craft: Fruitful Branch Mobile (Hanging vine mobile with cut lines and Scripture leaf)
• Active Game: “Vine Link Relay” & “Don’t Unplug the Circuit!”

🕯️ Week 3: Squash the Shadows! (1 John 4:18 • Psalm 56:3)

October nights can sometimes feel spooky or overwhelming to little ones. This lesson delivers rock-solid biblical assurance that God’s love is an impenetrable shield and His light always wins over shadows.

• Craft: God’s Light Catcher (Translucent stained-glass suncatcher frame)
• Active Game: “Shadow Chase” & “The Flashlight of Faith”
• Read the standalone guide: View Week 3 Lesson Post →

🥧 Week 4: The Full-to-Bursting Pumpkin Pie! (1 Timothy 6:18)

Concluding the month with Thanksgiving warmth, kids discover how God gives us abundant blessings so we can serve, share, and bring happiness to families in our community.

• Craft: My Kindness Pie (Cutout pie plate with 6 interactive slices of generosity)
• Active Game: “Pass the Pumpkin Pie Plate” & “Harvest Blessing Relay”
